Staff Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Backend Engineer to join their Application Development organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive strategic platform initiatives and collaborate with application, data, and platform teams to ensure stable application services
• Establish technical vision and work closely with product development teams to define engineering principles and standards
• Mentor less experienced team members and proactively identify and prioritize technical debt remediation

Required Qualifications

• Experience building web-scale systems in languages such as Golang, Python, and TypeScript
• Demonstrated staff-level expertise in proactive problem-solving and technical innovation
• Track record of designing and building scalable systems
• Strong understanding of database concepts and performance tuning
• Experience working on cloud-based infrastructure using AWS
