Staff Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Backend Engineer, Video Enablement.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, code, and support video features across the video pipeline stack, including live video ingestion and playback
• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and Product Manager to refine the strategic roadmap for video technology
• Lead and mentor other engineers while developing internal SDKs and frameworks for video integration

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building scalable video pipelines in cloud environments
• Background in video and audio streaming with a focus on live-streaming of user-generated content
• Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in the video space, such as C#/Golang/C++/Rust/Python
• Experience designing and building internal APIs/SDKs for rapid feature development
• Hands-on experience with video players and familiarity with mobile video broadcasting challenges
