Staff Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Backend Engineer, Messaging to shape the future of its rapidly scaling Messaging platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Own major backend components of the Messaging platform, including business logic, APIs, data models, and supporting infrastructure
• Design, build, test, and ship high-quality production code using TypeScript and GraphQL
• Architect and implement scalable messaging workflows and maintain production-level AI/LLM integrations

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience, preferably in SaaS
• Strong experience with TypeScript and GraphQL in production environments
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, particularly Postgres
• Experience with AI/LLM-powered features in production
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and data modeling
