Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Backend Software Engineer - Commerce Foundations (100% Remote - USA).

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect foundational patterns for booking flows and checkout journeys
• Lead the evolution of the platform to support multi-tenant configurations for partners
• Mentor senior engineers and conduct design reviews to foster a culture of high ownership

Required Qualifications

• Deep experience with distributed system development in Scala
• Strong understanding of multi-tenant architecture and configuration over customization
• Proven ability to navigate and improve complex code bases
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Ability to balance long-term system health with the need for rapid delivery
