Staff Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Software Development Engineer 4 to lead the transformation of their Digital Credit Application.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of credit application logic from Salesforce to a cloud-native Java/Spring Boot microservices environment
• Design and implement a modular adjudication layer for flexible credit rules and data provider integration
• Build and maintain robust REST/gRPC APIs for a multi-channel experience and support dynamic routing for A/B testing

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in backend architecture, particularly in Fintech, Lending, or Credit systems
• Significant experience with Salesforce integration and external AWS/Cloud microservices
• Expert-level proficiency in Java 17/21, Spring Boot 3.x, and Spring Cloud
• Experience with rules engines for automated decisioning and event-driven design using Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
