Staff Backend Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Software Engineer, Backend.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Go (GoLang) microservices
• Lead large engineering projects impacting multiple teams and optimize system performance
• Mentor engineers and ensure operational readiness through monitoring and incident response strategies

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend engineering experience with expertise in Go (GoLang) or similar languages
• Strong experience in designing and building scalable, distributed systems with microservices architecture
• Proficiency in relational databases and cloud environments (GCP preferred)
• Deep understanding of containerization, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience leading technical migrations and driving large-scale projects across multiple teams
