Staff Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Go (GoLang) microservices in a cloud-native environment
• Lead large, strategic engineering projects that impact multiple teams and require expertise in distributed systems and API design
• Mentor and coach engineers, ensuring best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend engineering experience with expertise in Go (GoLang), Java, Python, Ruby, C#, or similar languages
• Strong experience in designing and building scalable, distributed systems with microservices architecture
• Proficiency in inter-service communication protocols and relational databases
• Experience in cloud environments, preferably GCP, with knowledge of containerization and CI/CD pipelines
• Demonstrated ability to drive large-scale projects across multiple teams with effective communication and stakeholder alignment
