Staff Backend Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the technical strategy for AI feature design and operation, the full-time Staff Backend Engineer will lead cross-functional teams to deliver scalable systems and optimize AI orchestration frameworks in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and long-term strategy for AI orchestration frameworks and agent-based workflows
• Coordinate the delivery of AI features from proof of concept to production rollout across engineering, product, and design teams
• Establish best practices for prompt engineering, observability, and incident response for AI services

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of backend or platform engineering experience, including LLM-driven systems in production
• Proven success in leading architecture for business-critical services
• Deep knowledge of LLM integration patterns and event-driven architectures
• Track record of driving cost optimization and observability for AI workloads
• Collaborative leader with experience mentoring engineers and fostering team growth
