Staff Backend Engineer

Job Summary

To support the growth of Fetch's Ads Experiences, the full-time Staff Backend Engineer will design and evolve backend systems for rewarded gaming, shopping rewards, and offer platforms, ensuring scalability and reliability while working remotely in the United States.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and scale core services that support millions of users in rewarded gaming and shopping rewards
• Build backend services for offer eligibility, earning qualification, and reward fulfillment using real-time data
• Develop APIs for offer discovery and partner integrations, ensuring operational efficiency and system integrity

Required qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience in designing and operating backend systems for user-facing products at scale
• Proven expertise in API design and service boundaries for high-volume transactional systems
• Experience with event-driven architectures and data-intensive systems integrating multiple data sources
• Strong background in building reliable systems with comprehensive observability and monitoring practices
• Ability to translate ambiguous product requirements into robust backend designs with clear tradeoffs
