Staff Backend Engineer

Job Summary

To shape the future of healthcare technology, the full-time Staff Backend Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable Golang microservices in a remote environment, addressing complex engineering challenges and leading strategic projects across multiple teams.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and lead the development of high-performance backend services in a cloud-native environment
• Drive multi-team initiatives by solving complex engineering problems and improving system reliability and scalability
• Mentor engineers and foster engineering excellence by sharing best practices and enhancing code quality

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of backend engineering experience, with expertise in Golang, Java, Python, Ruby, C#, or similar languages
• Strong experience in designing and building scalable, distributed systems using microservices architecture
• Proficiency in inter-service communication protocols and relational databases
• Experience in cloud environments, preferably GCP, and knowledge of containerization and CI/CD pipelines
• Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale projects with clear communication and stakeholder alignment
