Staff Backend Engineer

Job Summary

To evolve a multi-cloud FinOps platform into a broader AI cost intelligence solution, the full-time Staff Backend Engineer will design and build backend features, implement AI capabilities, and develop distributed data pipelines, all while working remotely with significant autonomy and ownership.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and build backend-heavy platform features and distributed data pipelines
• Productionalise AI-enabled capabilities and implement AI across the software development lifecycle
• Collaborate closely with Product to translate vision into shipped features while shaping engineering standards

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with deep backend expertise in Python
• Experience building and operating data-intensive backend systems or pipelines in production
• Strong understanding of data modeling, reliability, and data processing
• Hands-on experience with AWS and demonstrated use of AI in production systems
• Ability to architect backend services supporting asynchronous workflows and event-driven pipelines
