Staff Backend Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the backend platform and observability systems, the full-time Staff Backend Engineer will build and evolve monitoring systems for data ingestion, ensuring reliability and performance while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Build and evolve the monitoring and observability platform for desktop and browser extension installations
- Define and improve signals measuring recorder reliability and data capture health
- Own and evolve backend ingestion services connecting data capture to processing and AI pipelines
Required qualifications
- Deep experience building backend applications and owning complex production systems at a Staff-level scope
- Strong Python skills with comfort in TypeScript and Go as needed
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems and large-scale data ingestion pipelines
- Proficiency in building monitoring and observability systems for production health
- Experience with AWS for designing, deploying, and maintaining production services
