Staff Biomedical Platform Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Biomedical Platform Engineer, Digital Pathology.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the architecture and implementation of integration layers for Image Management Systems and core enterprise systems
• Design and maintain API middleware and microservices for complex workflows between imaging and analysis systems
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to architect data pipelines for analytics and ensure technical standards for data interoperability

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Biomedical Informatics, or equivalent work experience; Master's preferred
• 10+ years of experience in software architecture and systems integration, with 5+ years in regulated healthcare or life sciences
• Expertise in designing integrations for Digital Pathology and high-content imaging systems
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and modern data platforms
• Proven track record of implementing healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7 and FHIR
