Staff CAD Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting the CAD Silicon Support Engineering team, the full-time Staff CAD Engineer will manage virtual desktop environments, configure EDA tools, and assist design teams with circuit and layout design processes while working onsite in Porto Alegre, Brazil.

Key responsibilities

• Support team members with virtual desktop environment setup and configuration
• Set up and configure EDA tools and manage license for design teams
• Assist circuit and layout designers with debugging and automation of design tasks

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8 years of experience, or 6 years with a Master's, or 3 years with a PhD and 3 years in a CAD support role
• Experience with EDA IC Design Tools and Physical Verification Tools (DRC/LVS/Extraction)
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Cadence Skill, Perl, Python, and Unix shell
• Experience supporting Linux operating systems and working with CMOS silicon processes
• Demonstrated ability to document technical processes and communicate findings effectively
