Staff Cloud Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the technical direction of the AWS platform, the full-time Staff Cloud Engineer will manage cloud infrastructure for ticketing, streaming, and fundraising in high school sports, focusing on cost visibility, environment provisioning, and production deployment efficiency in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Build reporting and tooling for cloud spend visibility across engineering teams
- Own and maintain the Kubernetes platform on EKS, including architecture and upgrade strategies
- Standardize CI/CD practices to streamline production changes and enhance deployment safety
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or site reliability engineering at a senior level
- Deep experience with Amazon EKS, including cluster management and debugging
- Expert-level proficiency in Terraform, including module design and state management
- Experience with AWS core services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, and S3
- Proficiency in programming languages like Go, Python, or TypeScript for tooling development
