Staff Controls Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the deployment and execution of automation solutions, the full-time Staff Controls Engineer will oversee the installation and integration of BMS/EPMS and SCADA systems in remote hyperscale data centers, ensuring operational efficiency and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the field deployment, integration, and startup of BMS/EPMS systems, ensuring seamless integration with electrical and cooling infrastructure
• Enforce system standards and deployment patterns for controls rollouts across multiple projects and sites
• Oversee system integrators during deployments, ensuring compliance with design standards and troubleshooting complex automation integration issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
• Extensive experience in the deployment and startup of PLC, SCADA, BMS, and EPMS platforms
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting control protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, OPC-UA, and MQTT
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, and industrial automation equipment operations
• Demonstrated ability to translate engineering designs into physical installations in a fast-paced environment
