Job Summary
Driving the architecture and micro-architecture of next-generation high-performance RISC-V CPUs, the remote Staff CPU Microarchitect will focus on vector, floating point, and matrix compute extensions to optimize performance for HPC and AI workloads.
Key responsibilities
- Translate HPC/AI workload requirements into scalable CPU architectures that enhance performance, power, and area (PPA)
- Collaborate with architects, software teams, silicon designers, and external IP partners to define compute architectures
- Make architectural decisions across CPU clusters and subsystems to enable efficient execution of modern computing tasks
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in CPU design for high-performance computing and AI acceleration
- Experience designing hardware for matrix floating-point computation, AI accelerators, and vector processing
- Strong knowledge of CPU architecture, memory hierarchy, and cache coherency
- Proven ability to define architectural specifications and lead cross-functional teams
- Experience with RTL development and cutting-edge AI models
