Staff Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary

Delivering enterprise-critical protection of digital assets, the full-time Staff Cybersecurity Engineer will manage advanced threat detection, incident response, and security engineering outcomes across cloud and application environments in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead real-time monitoring and analysis to identify and mitigate advanced threats using SIEM, XDR, and AI-driven security platforms
• Execute complex incident response activities and coordinate recovery efforts while maintaining compliance and forensic integrity
• Design and optimize security controls across cloud platforms, enforcing Zero Trust principles and enhancing identity-based protections

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including security operations and incident response in cloud environments
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; master's degree preferred
• Strong knowledge of cloud security architecture across AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or similar languages
• Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, or GIAC certifications such as GCIA or GCIH
