Staff Data Architect

Job Summary

Defining and owning the enterprise data architecture, the full-time remote Staff Data Architect will establish standards for data ingestion, modeling, governance, and consumption using Snowflake, while serving as the technical authority for the data platform across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the enterprise data architecture, focusing on ingestion, storage, transformation, and consumption layers
• Establish and enforce data governance standards, including naming conventions and access controls
• Act as the senior technical voice on the data team, guiding architectural decisions and providing hands-on support to engineers

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data architecture roles, with at least 3 years in an architecture-focused capacity
• Expert-level proficiency in Snowflake, including schema design and performance tuning
• Strong experience with modern data transformation practices and hands-on experience with Coalesce
• Demonstrated ability to design and govern a medallion or layered architecture at scale
• Experience with data governance, including access controls and documentation standards
