Staff Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Data Engineer to lead the evolution of its data platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build new batch and streaming data pipelines for analytics and product features
• Serve as the technical lead, mentoring engineers and driving architectural best practices
• Ensure system reliability through robust monitoring and self-healing mechanisms

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with streaming and messaging systems like Beam, Flink, Spark, Kafka, and/or Pub/Sub
• 8+ years of experience managing enterprise-grade cloud data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake)
• Expertise in SQL, Python, and ideally Java
• Experience mentoring data engineers and contributing to team culture
• Availability for on-call rotation for business-critical alerts
