Staff Data Engineer
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Staff Data Engineer who will operate as a Technical Lead for the Data Platform Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural decisions for the Data Platform, focusing on ingestion, modeling, storage, and orchestration
- Design and maintain data pipelines for onboarding new data domains and implement the Medallion Architecture for analytics and reporting
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure data availability, quality, and reliability while mentoring Senior Data Engineers
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience with distributed systems and modern data architecture
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and operations, specifically AWS
- Proficiency in Python for data pipelines, with familiarity in TypeScript and Go (Golang) as a plus
- Knowledge of data streaming, distributed ETL, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience in implementing DataOps practices for data lifecycle management and governance
