Staff Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Data Engineer to develop and execute the vision for their data engineering architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and develop the long-term technical vision and blueprint for the team
• Design technical strategy for a well-architected data lakehouse and collaborate on the ELT process
• Mentor engineering team members while creating standards for engineering and operational excellence

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years in a Data Engineering role with experience in data warehouses and ETL/ELT processes
• Advanced SQL experience and database design skills
• Experience with cloud-based data environments and tools such as GCP, APIs, and Airflow
• Familiarity with software engineering practices and agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Scala
