Staff Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Data Engineer to develop and execute the vision for their data engineering architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and develop the long-term technical vision and blueprint for the team
• Design technical strategy to develop a well-architected data lakehouse
• Mentor engineering team members and provide support to development teams on modern database architecture principles

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years in a Data Engineering role with experience in data warehouses and ETL/ELT processes
• Advanced SQL experience and database design skills
• Experience with GCP or equivalent cloud-based environments and relevant data engineering tools
• Working experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
• Experience with object-oriented scripting languages like Python or Scala
