Staff Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Data Engineer to lead their Data Engineering practice and modernize their data architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the data platform, tooling, and architecture to meet analytical and product needs
• Lead the delivery of a v2 data architecture via a data lakehouse
• Build stream and batch data ingestion pipelines to process source data

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years as a Data Engineer working on the modern data stack
• 2+ years operating as a Staff or Lead engineer
• 5+ years of experience writing production-grade code, preferably in Go
• Familiarity with modern datalakes and open table formats such as Iceberg, Hudi, or Delta Lake
• Strong cloud architecture skills in the AWS ecosystem
