Staff Data Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Data Engineer to design and operate data systems that support experimental research and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with scientists to gather requirements and understand data structures and workflows
• Architect scalable data schemas and optimize warehouse performance for efficiency
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines within a modern cloud ecosystem

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong experience in building and maintaining data pipelines in production environments
• Proficiency in Python and associated data libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy)
• Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools
• Understanding of warehousing concepts across relational and NoSQL systems
