Staff Data Engineer
Job Summary
Leading the evolution of the data platform for the MAX Digital SaaS product, the full-time Staff Data Engineer will design, optimize, and modernize SQL Server and MongoDB systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead architectural design and technical decision-making for core data platform components
- Design and implement complex features within SQL Server and MongoDB, focusing on performance and scalability
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define requirements and translate them into technical specifications
Required qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline; advanced degrees are a plus
- 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering with deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server
- Strong proficiency in database internals, query optimization, and performance tuning
- Experience with Python, C/C++, C#, or other relevant programming languages
- Proven track record of designing and implementing complex software features focused on quality and performance
