Staff Data Engineer

Job Summary

To shape the future of Honor's data platform, the full-time remote Staff Data Engineer will build and evolve a scalable, AWS-native data platform, lead data orchestration efforts, and establish trusted data access through governance and AI readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and development of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data platforms on AWS
• Design and operate scalable orchestration frameworks using Airflow and FiveTran, partnering with the Data Analytics team
• Establish governance and access patterns to ensure data is discoverable, trustworthy, and easy to use across the organization

Required qualifications

• 8-10+ years of experience building and operating large-scale data platforms in cloud environments, particularly AWS
• Proven track record of leading complex technical initiatives and influencing architecture across teams
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience in production-grade systems
• Deep expertise in modern data warehousing and ELT/ETL architectures
• Experience with data quality frameworks and operational excellence in data platforms
