Staff Data Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the architectural design of a data platform, the full-time Staff Data Engineer will drive technical strategy for large-scale enhancements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure data systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and evolution of the data platform, defining its future roadmap
• Drive technical strategy for platform enhancements while balancing long-term goals with incremental delivery
• Produce architectural artifacts and act as a technical mentor for the Data Engineering team

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 5+ years in data engineering or data platform roles
• Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale, cross-functional technical projects
• Extensive experience architecting and deploying data infrastructure in a cloud environment (AWS preferred)
• Deep architectural knowledge of the modern data stack, including data warehouses (Snowflake) and transformation tools (dbt)
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with a high standard for code quality and system design
