Staff Data Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the technical development of data integrations, the full-time remote Staff Data Engineer will design and implement ETLs to process large datasets, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer onboarding and data quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize ETLs using PySpark and DBT for large-scale customer datasets
• Define the technical vision for DC data architecture and mentor team members
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver effective data solutions

Required qualifications

• Significant experience designing and maintaining ETLs for large-scale datasets
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and experience with tools like Databricks, Snowflake, or DBT
• 2+ years in a technical lead role, with a focus on mentoring
• Experience with complex, unclean datasets and innovative processing methods
• Ability to balance technical rigor with practical outcomes in ambiguous situations
