Staff Data Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Staff Data Engineer will build, maintain, and improve data pipelines, orchestrate workflows, and develop analytics-ready data models to support business reporting and decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and orchestration workflows using Airflow and modern data stack technologies
• Develop and optimize data ingestion processes from diverse sources to support analytics and business applications
• Partner with analytics, BI, and IT teams to perform code reviews, establish best practices, and mentor junior engineers on data DevOps principles

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or DevOps roles with demonstrated progression in technical complexity
• Strong proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and application development
• Expert-level SQL skills and hands-on experience with dbt for analytics engineering
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools, preferably Apache Airflow, for managing complex data pipelines
