Staff Data Engineer

Job Summary

To lead the modernization of its data stack, the full-time remote Staff Data Engineer will build and own the platform backbone for governed reporting and trusted AI workflows, making strategic architecture decisions and executing data integrations while ensuring pipeline reliability and data quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement data platform architecture, including ingestion patterns and warehouse design
• Ensure pipeline reliability through monitoring, incident response, and legacy migration efforts
• Establish data governance and quality standards, including schema-change handling and data observability

Required qualifications

• Proven experience designing and operating production data platforms
• Strong hands-on skills in data ingestion fundamentals and Snowflake fluency
• Ability to communicate effectively and align technical decisions with business outcomes
• Experience with cross-functional partnerships across Engineering and Analytics teams
• Familiarity with AI tools to enhance data product development and operational workflows
