Staff Data Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the entire migration process, the full-time Staff Data Engineer will lead client migrations from legacy analysis to production deployment, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery and technical due diligence to analyze and document legacy systems
• Architect and build migration pipelines, transforming legacy logic into production-grade workflows
• Drive ambiguity to resolution by proactively identifying unknowns and coordinating with stakeholders

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer with a track record of managing complex technical projects
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in legacy code analysis
• Deep understanding of Apache Spark for distributed processing and performance tuning
• Advanced skills in Apache Airflow, including designing and authoring production DAGs
• Experience in data validation and reconciliation frameworks at scale
