Staff Data Engineer

Job Summary

As a senior technical leader for our data platform, the full-time Staff Data Engineer will own the architecture and reliability of data pipelines, mentor engineers, and drive the evolution of the data warehouse while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Own the architecture of the data platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
• Lead design and code reviews, raising engineering standards and mentoring team members
• Develop and implement data ingestion pipelines and establish monitoring and incident-response practices

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in building data platforms and pipelines in production
• Expertise in cloud data warehousing (BigQuery or equivalent) and modern ingestion tooling
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with familiarity in version control and CI/CD workflows
• Experience managing cloud infrastructure on platforms like GCP or AWS
