Staff Data Engineer

Job Summary

As a technical leader in data systems, the full-time remote Staff Data Engineer will shape technical direction, strengthen data governance, and guide datastore decisions while collaborating with engineering, platform, and analytics teams.

Key responsibilities

• Set architectural direction and raise engineering standards through hands-on partnership across TCGplayer Technology
• Enhance Snowflake governance and improve validation processes for data-related changes across distributed environments
• Lead cross-application datastore initiatives and provide guidance on Postgres design and performance to increase engineering leverage

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data warehousing, operational datastores, or data architecture
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake in production environments
• Strong experience with relational databases, particularly Postgres
• Experience with microservices and event-driven systems, preferably Kafka and Debezium
• Proven ability to influence teams and improve engineering practices in complex environments
