Staff Data Engineer

Job Summary

Driving critical platform initiatives, the full-time Staff Data Engineer will manage complex deliverables and enhance cross-team reliability in a remote environment, utilizing technologies such as BigQuery, dbt, and Kafka to support patient care infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as DRI for high-complexity platform initiatives, overseeing connector buildouts and migration workstreams
• Architect and maintain production-grade ingestion pipelines and platform infrastructure for analytics and data science teams
• Own data quality and reliability for pipelines, implementing monitoring, alerting, and governance practices

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in designing and operating data pipelines and platform infrastructure
• Proficiency with Change Data Capture (CDC) patterns and real-time ingestion
• Experience with dbt governance in a production environment, including CI/CD and schema governance
• Strong skills in Python and SQL for developing production-grade pipeline code
• Multi-cloud fluency in GCP and AWS, with hands-on experience in both environments
