Staff Data Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the data foundation for pricing, the full-time Staff Data Engineer will manage external market data ingestion, entity resolution, and warehouse layer operations while ensuring high-quality data delivery in a remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end acquisition, normalization, and delivery of external market data into the warehouse
• Develop and maintain the canonical item model and manage entity resolution for inbound records
• Implement quality monitoring systems to proactively identify data gaps and degradation

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering with ownership of production pipelines
• Proficient in SQL and Python, with experience in production dbt and maintaining incremental models
• Strong background in dimensional modeling, including SCD Type 2 and handling late-arriving data
• Experience with cloud data warehouses, specifically BigQuery and GCP
• Familiarity with marketplace or e-commerce data models, including orders and payments
