Staff Data Engineer
Job Summary
Building a cutting-edge data platform, the full-time Staff Data Engineer will design and implement real-time data pipelines and AI-augmented infrastructure while collaborating closely with the Sr. Director of Data Platform & Analytics in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain near real-time data pipelines as the core of the data platform
- Evaluate and implement vector database infrastructure to support AI-driven use cases
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data needs into reliable, low-latency data products
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, particularly with streaming/event-driven systems
- Proven experience designing and building near real-time pipelines in a production environment
- Hands-on experience with vector databases and embedding strategies
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python
- Familiarity with cloud warehouse/lakehouse platforms and BI/reporting tools
