Staff Data Engineer
Job Summary
Owning the internal data platform end to end, the full-time Staff Data Engineer will manage Snowflake architecture, dbt transformations, and orchestration standards in Dagster while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the internal data platform, including architecture, ingestion tooling, and warehouse access controls
- Ensure platform reliability and manage the deferred data backlog, enabling efficient cross-team collaboration
- Collaborate with engineering on SLA-carrying pipelines and provide feedback to the product team based on daily interactions with Dagster
Required qualifications
- Staff-level experience in data platform architecture and stakeholder management
- Extensive production experience with dbt and modern cloud warehouses
- Familiarity with modern orchestrators, particularly Dagster
- Hands-on experience with managed ingestion and reverse ETL tools
- Ability to translate ambiguous business requests into prioritized work
