Job Summary
To enhance the MyFitnessPal ecosystem, the full-time remote Staff Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain high-throughput data services and orchestration pipelines while collaborating on best practices and mentoring team members.
Key responsibilities
- Design and maintain event-driven data services and orchestration pipelines using Python, Airflow, and Snowflake
- Architect scalable data pipelines and modernize legacy ingestion patterns
- Define data engineering standards and mentor team members on best practices
Required qualifications
- 8-12+ years in engineering roles, including 3-5+ years in data engineering at a senior or architect level
- Extensive experience with Snowflake or similar data stores
- Advanced SQL skills for complex queries on large datasets
- Experience with Airflow or similar orchestration tools
- Proficient in building high-throughput services in Python
