Staff Data Platform Engineer

Job Summary

To architect and build a modern Data platform, the full-time Staff Data Platform Engineer will design scalable solutions for batch and streaming use cases, ensuring low-latency services and robust data security while collaborating cross-functionally in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build a scalable Data platform for batch and streaming use cases, focusing on automation, security, and data lineage
• Develop a real-time data platform to support low-latency services for dynamic decision-making across sports betting and fantasy ecosystems
• Champion best practices for model deployment, monitoring, and CI/CD to ensure high availability and observability of data pipelines

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Platform Engineering with a focus on scalable Data platforms in high-traffic environments
• Proficiency in streaming architectures (Kafka/Flink/PubSub) and low-latency service development
• Extensive experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Flink, and Kinesis
• Expertise in coding with Python and Go, and experience with cloud services, preferably GCP or AWS
• Demonstrated ability to manage the full Data lifecycle and set up data exploration environments
