Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Data Scientist, Insurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the data science strategy across underwriting, claims, and portfolio management
• Lead cross-functional analytics projects to uncover insights and optimization opportunities
• Mentor junior and senior analysts/scientists while developing repeatable analytical frameworks

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years in analytics or data science with measurable impact in product or underwriting
• Deep domain experience (8+ years) in the Insurance industry, preferably P&C or cyber/E&O
• Expertise in SQL and proficiency in Python or R for analysis and experimentation
• Strong grasp of statistical methods and experience with BI tools like Looker or Tableau
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and align stakeholders
