Staff Data Scientist

Job Summary

To enhance user safety, the fully remote Staff Data Scientist will lead the measurement strategy for safety experiences, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive analytics to inform product development and interventions at Reddit.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the measurement strategy for user safety by defining metrics, frameworks, and dashboards
• Design and execute experiments to assess the impact and ROI of safety initiatives
• Translate complex analyses into clear narratives and recommendations for stakeholders

Required qualifications:

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related quantitative fields
• 8+ years of industry data science experience with an M.S. or 4+ years with a Ph.D
• Proficiency in statistical analysis, programming languages (e.g., Python), and SQL
• Experience in safety, enforcement engineering, or fraud-related roles
• Ability to tackle ambiguously defined problems and communicate complex topics effectively
