Staff Data Scientist

Job Summary

Leading the technical development and automation of enrollment forecasting, the full-time remote Staff Data Scientist will design, build, and monitor robust forecasting models to enhance decision-making across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and automate the core enrollment forecasting engine to improve forecast reliability and reduce manual effort
• Translate commercial planning questions into scalable forecasting solutions in collaboration with various departments
• Establish best practices for model development, performance monitoring, and alerting to support a production-grade forecasting capability

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data science or applied statistics, with at least 3 years focused on forecasting and time series modeling
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience taking models from discovery through deployment and monitoring
• Strong understanding of statistical and machine learning methods for forecasting
• Experience designing and maintaining production data science systems in collaboration with engineering teams
• Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into technical problems and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
