Staff Data Scientist

Job Summary

To define and implement rigorous experimentation methodologies, the full-time remote Staff Data Scientist will design and analyze online controlled experiments, ensuring data-driven product decisions and business strategies while coaching teams across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and standardize the end-to-end methodology for experiment design and analysis across teams
• Own the statistical approach for small-sample contexts, ensuring robust analysis and interpretation of results
• Build and maintain an experimentation curriculum to elevate the capabilities of PMs and analysts in running effective tests

Required qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in data science, product analytics, or applied statistics, with a focus on controlled experiments
• Strong understanding of applied statistics, including frequentist and Bayesian methods, and A/B testing challenges
• Practical experience in causal inference and the ability to differentiate between causal results and data artifacts
• Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of Python or R
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership on experimentation quality
