Job Summary

Driving the science charter for supply chain planning, the full-time Staff Data Scientist will manage end-to-end workstreams focused on forecasting, inventory optimization, and vendor performance, leveraging AI-native methodologies in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the science workstreams, including forecasting tournaments and inventory placement optimization, ensuring methodological standards are met
• Set the standard for experimentation discipline within the team, utilizing statistical, ML, and AI-driven methods
• Mentor junior scientists, enhancing their skills through code reviews and direct teaching while collaborating with planning operators to translate operational challenges into modeling problems

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of applied data science or operations research experience, particularly in supply chain planning
• Proven ownership of modeling workstreams from problem framing to production deployment and business impact measurement
• Broad methodological expertise across classical, ML, and AI-driven forecasting approaches
• Engineering fluency to manage feature pipelines, experiments, and model serving
• Demonstrated AI-native science practice with examples of impactful AI tooling integration
