Job Summary
Owning the modeling and experimentation for global pricing strategies, the full-time Staff Data Scientist will develop elasticity and willingness-to-pay models, design pricing experiments, and establish analytical infrastructure to enhance pricing strategy and automation in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Model price elasticity and willingness-to-pay across various segments and geographies, quantifying trade-offs between margin, conversion, and retention
- Design and execute pricing experiments, translating results into strategic recommendations
- Build and maintain pricing analytics and dashboards to support decision-making and measure the impact of AI-driven pricing automation
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, data science, economics, or a similar STEM field with 7+ years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with 5+ years of experience
- Fluency in causal inference and experimentation, with hands-on experience in modeling price elasticity or willingness-to-pay
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker)
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and AI system evaluation
- Strong understanding of cohort and funnel analyses, as well as statistical concepts like selection bias and probability distributions
