Staff Data Scientist

Job Summary

Owning fraud, risk, and payments analytics, the full-time Staff Data Scientist will work remotely to develop detection models, analyze risk, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the company's payment systems and fraud prevention strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end detection processes, from identifying signals to implementing models in production
• Conduct resolution and network analysis to uncover coordinated fraudulent behavior
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to evaluate incentive and referral mechanics prior to launch

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of industry experience in data science or analytics, specifically in fraud, risk, trust and safety, or payments
• Proven ability to build high-volume risk evaluation systems and perform complex vector analysis
• Experience with payments processes, including disputes and authorization monitoring
• Strong understanding of graph and network analysis
• Self-motivated with a track record of identifying risks and providing actionable recommendations
