Staff Data Scientist

Job Summary

Leading high-impact machine learning initiatives, the full-time remote Staff Data Scientist will develop and validate models, build production systems, and contribute to economic and pricing strategies while mentoring a lean data science team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction and delivery of prioritized applied ML or data science initiatives
• Translate business opportunities into decision frameworks, technical approaches, and impact evaluation plans
• Build and operate end-to-end ML systems, including data pipelines, model deployment, and monitoring

Required qualifications

• Typically 6+ years of experience in data science, statistics, econometrics, or machine learning
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional data science or ML projects from conception to production
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for production code and large dataset management
• Experience with production ML systems, including deployment, monitoring, and iteration
• Solid understanding of applied statistics and model evaluation, including experimentation fundamentals
