Staff Data Scientist

Job Summary

Serving as the senior analytical and scientific leader for the Play business and broader Rewarded Apps portfolio, the full-time Staff Data Scientist will set the analytical direction, lead complex analyses, and mentor team members while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Set the analytical and scientific strategy for Play, identifying high-impact opportunities across various business metrics
• Translate ambiguous business challenges into structured analytical approaches and lead advanced analytics initiatives
• Mentor analysts and data scientists while establishing best practices for modeling, experimentation, and data storytelling

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or quantitative strategy, with ownership of complex product or business domains
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in building reusable analytical and modeling workflows
• Strong foundation in statistics, experimental design, and causal inference techniques
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across various teams without direct authority
• Experience mentoring analysts or data scientists and improving work quality across teams
