Staff Developer Experience Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the direction of developer experience, the full-time Staff Developer Experience Engineer will set the DX roadmap, design and manage the SDK code-generation architecture, and establish standards for developer interactions with the platform in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage the developer experience roadmap and act as the technical lead for developer-facing initiatives
• Design and oversee the architecture for SDK code generation, ensuring predictable library shipping and low-cost language additions
• Establish quality standards and observability across SDKs, and mentor engineers to enhance overall developer experience

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in owning developer-facing tooling across multiple programming languages
• Strong integration of AI in development workflows, including custom tooling and automation
• Ability to build reusable systems that have lasting impact and adoption
• Understanding of SDKs and code generation as complex systems with feedback loops and boundaries
• Experience with production ownership, including observability and incident response for SDKs
